Products I've Used Up - Hits and Misses

Hey everyone! We're already on the third month of the year and February went by in a blur for me. We've been so busy at work and feel like it's draining my time and energy hence the scarcity of my post.

So I decided that my first March post  would be to show you the products that I've used up last month. It's a mishmash of things that I love and those that I didn't hate but kind of regret spending my money on. I'm trying to really finish up the product not only the "hits" but even the "misses" ones because I don't want to waste it. It's quite an achievement for me every time I will finish something up.

BIODERMA SENSEBIO H2O CLEANSER

This was my third one and I still have 4 back up bottles, suffice it to say that I really admire this product.  I love how it took off my make up without aggravating my skin. I use it to remove eye make up as well. I soaked the cotton pad with this and hold it over my eyes for half a minute, but you might need to extend if you’re using waterproof mascara.  It says non-rinse but I still wash my face with water and my favorite facial cleanser after using this for a thorough cleaning.  The best make up remover ever.

JOHN FRIEDA FRIZZ-EASE DAILY NOURISHMENT LEAVE IN CONDITIONING HAIR SPRAY
Product description:

Infuses hair with a high-potency blend of Vitamins A, E & C, green tea extract & nourishing moisture.  Makes hair strong & resistant to breakage; instantly detangles.
My hair is naturally straight and smooth so I can’t really justify if this works for me or not. It doesn't make my hair super shiny but it feels so soft and the smell is so good. I would probably repurchase but not anytime soon because I would like to try out different products.

BODY SHOP TEA TREE BLEMISH GEL

It was supposed to keep skin clear by helping to prevent blemishes and blackheads, and controlling excess oil.  keep skin clear by helping to prevent blemishes and blackheads, and controlling excess oilIt doesn’t work for me, did absolutely nothing.  I still used it up though because I paid for it.

Lush Rehab Shampoo

According to their website Rehab is shampoo for hair which has been abused and needs some rest and relaxation.  I don’t believe my hair has been abused because I don’t apply heat every so often.  I usually let my hair dry naturally because I don’t have time to curl or straighten it every time I will wash it. I still b ought this because the SA told me it will clean my hair thoroughly and help clarify product build up in my scalp so I gave it a go.  This product does what it’s supposed to do. The only downside is the price. It cost me 47 AED (12.50 USD) for the small bottle (100g).DERMALOGICA

ASIAN'S SECRETS LULUR WHITENING BODY SCRUB
I went through several tubs of this and still loving it. I rave about this in my January Favorites.

DERMALOGICA ACTIVE MOIST MOISTURIZER
It’s a lightweight, oil-free moisturizer designed for oily, acne-prone skin.  I bought this because I was so desperate to control/cure my adult onset acne. I decided to splurge on this after reading loads of great reviews online. I don’t think it controls oiliness. It took me two months to finish this tube and  my skin hasn’t cleared up yet, zits still keeps on popping up. I paid 179 AED (49USD) for 50ml tube but it didn’t help my skin’s condition at all. I would not repurchase this.

BATH AND BODY WORKS VANILLA NOIR BODY CREAM
This is one of my favorites from BBW. The scent is luxurious  and I like how it lingers on my skin for a really long time. I don’t wear perfume when I use this because I don't feel the need to. This alone will make you smell so good. Seriously the best vanilla fragrance I’ve ever tried.  It is very moisturizing too, without feeling greasy.

Have you ever tried any of these products?

Bisou bisou,

Glitzylady

Bath and Body Works Haul - DSF Sale

Hey Girlies! This post is a continuation of my DSF Sale haul but this time around I'm going to show all the stuff that I got from Bath and Body Works.  They have wowed the public with plethora of items on amazing sale and people like me just can't resist whenever we see the red sign (50% to 70% off sale). As usual, I ended up spending more that what I should have. Well,  this crazy sale only comes once in a year so I'd better stock up so I don't have to buy it in a full price. Although they always have some good deals like BUY 3 take 1 or BUY 2 take 1 in some of their not so popular scents I can guarantee you that this DSF sale is absolutely fantastic and 100x better than their regular sales. :) Let these photos speak for itself, and tell me if you can hold off spending money in any of these items. I hope you enjoyed this post. Personally, I love watching haul videos and blog posts. You're kinda gettin...

January Favorites

This is actually my first time to do a beauty related post and my topic would be my monthly favorites.   Just like all beauty bloggers do, I would tell you the products that I’ve been using the most for the past month and I will try to do a quick review on each of them.   Let’s get started. EOS Sweet Mint Lip Balm I’ve been using this non stop since I received it in the mail. I searched for this lip balm in almost every beauty store I know in Dubai but can’t really find it. So when I took my yearly Christmas vacation in the Philippines , I ordered 4 pieces in different flavors from one of the reputable online sellers there. It was love at first application. I love the way it glides in my lips, nice and smooth. It moisturizes and hydrates my lips and has a soothing effect. Packaging is super cute and really inexpensive. I paid approximately 42 AED for 4 pieces.               ...

Victoria's Secret's DSF Sale Haul

I know this post has long been overdue.   DSF ended last Feb 05 and I’ve picked up all these items  on the last week of January.   If you are wondering what DSF is, it stands for Dubai Shopping Festival. It is an annual month long shopping, cultural, and entertainment event which started back in 1996 and aimed to promote Dubai tourism.   This is the ideal time of year to grab your favorite high street brands at rock bottom prices.   Every malls and shops are offering the greatest discount you can ever imagine.   I didn’t get much, though.    I just came back from a vacation and my bank account has just been emptied. J So let me show you few things that I bought from Victoria’s Secret.   Items are at   25%,   50% and   75% off.    There you have it! I really had a wonderful time hopping from one VS store to another.  It was such a great bargain, you can't just pa...
