March Glambox

Hey lovely ladies! Hope all is well with  you.

Monthly beauty boxes has been so popular in the US and UK and I have always envied basically everyone who gets to receive it. I am constantly searching if we have it here only to get dissappointed every single time.  Until one day, the beauty boxes fairy appears in my dream to be the bearer of this exciting news, Glambox would be available in the UAE! :) Nope, I read a post in February and came to know about it a little late. It already started in January, I tried to buy a subscription immediately after seeing the post but it was sold out and I was put in the waiting list. After two weeks I finally get to squeeze in to their list and  bought my initial 3 months subscription.

My dear friends, I am proud to present to you my very first Glambox! :)

As you can see, here's the list of what I've got.

Viktor & Rolf Flower Bomb EDP (7 ml sample size)
Miriam Quevedo Extreme Caviar Intensive Anti-aging Hair Mask
Prevage Day Ultra Protection Anti-Aging Moisturizer SPF 30
Prevage Eye Ultra Protection Anti-aging Moisturizer SPF 15
Nail Lounge Polish in Poetic Petra
Vichy Thermal Spa Water
Vichy Capital Soleil Lotion SPF 50

I never thought I would be liking Flower bomb. In every occassion that I'm in Paris Gallery or Debenhams I always spray it in my arms, catch a sniff of it and came to a conclusion that it's too strong for my liking. I used it on the same day that I got it and I think my next perfume purchase would be the full size of this.

Miriam Quevedo Hair Mask did not impressed me at all. I don't know if it's just too early to tell since I just used it twice but it my hair tangles badly on both times. I love the smell but it doesn't stay long. Once my hair dries, the scent is gone too. The only thing that I love about this is it doesn't make my scalp and hair oily. I wash my hair every other day and usually on the second day it tends to get greasy on the roots but when I use this my second day hair still looks like I just washed it. Will I purchase a full size? Maybe not. I still prefer my Macadamia Oil Repair Masque.

I'm sure to purchase Vichy Thermal Spa water, too. I am using it as a make up setting spray and I totally satisfied with the freshness that it brings to my face everytime I spritz it.

I have yet to try Vichy lotion, Prevage eye and face moisturizer and nail polish to give my opinion or views regarding the product. My skin is in a very sensitive condition right now so I can't just try product that I want. I would be running out of my skin care products in about two weeks or so. These items would be the next best thing to try.

Overall, I would say I'm completely happy with all the stuff I got. For 50 AED (shipping fee included) you got to try a lot of different products and eventually found out what works best for you.

Have you signed up for your own Glambox already?  I'd love to know your thoughts.

bisou bisou,

glitzylady

Bath and Body Works Haul - DSF Sale

Hey Girlies! This post is a continuation of my DSF Sale haul but this time around I'm going to show all the stuff that I got from Bath and Body Works.  They have wowed the public with plethora of items on amazing sale and people like me just can't resist whenever we see the red sign (50% to 70% off sale). As usual, I ended up spending more that what I should have. Well,  this crazy sale only comes once in a year so I'd better stock up so I don't have to buy it in a full price. Although they always have some good deals like BUY 3 take 1 or BUY 2 take 1 in some of their not so popular scents I can guarantee you that this DSF sale is absolutely fantastic and 100x better than their regular sales. :) Let these photos speak for itself, and tell me if you can hold off spending money in any of these items. I hope you enjoyed this post. Personally, I love watching haul videos and blog posts. You're kinda gettin...

January Favorites

This is actually my first time to do a beauty related post and my topic would be my monthly favorites.   Just like all beauty bloggers do, I would tell you the products that I’ve been using the most for the past month and I will try to do a quick review on each of them.   Let’s get started. EOS Sweet Mint Lip Balm I’ve been using this non stop since I received it in the mail. I searched for this lip balm in almost every beauty store I know in Dubai but can’t really find it. So when I took my yearly Christmas vacation in the Philippines , I ordered 4 pieces in different flavors from one of the reputable online sellers there. It was love at first application. I love the way it glides in my lips, nice and smooth. It moisturizes and hydrates my lips and has a soothing effect. Packaging is super cute and really inexpensive. I paid approximately 42 AED for 4 pieces.               ...

Victoria's Secret's DSF Sale Haul

I know this post has long been overdue.   DSF ended last Feb 05 and I’ve picked up all these items  on the last week of January.   If you are wondering what DSF is, it stands for Dubai Shopping Festival. It is an annual month long shopping, cultural, and entertainment event which started back in 1996 and aimed to promote Dubai tourism.   This is the ideal time of year to grab your favorite high street brands at rock bottom prices.   Every malls and shops are offering the greatest discount you can ever imagine.   I didn’t get much, though.    I just came back from a vacation and my bank account has just been emptied. J So let me show you few things that I bought from Victoria’s Secret.   Items are at   25%,   50% and   75% off.    There you have it! I really had a wonderful time hopping from one VS store to another.  It was such a great bargain, you can't just pa...
