Sunday Mani Mania - NYX Girl Nail Polish in Perfect Gray and Frizzy Spots

I am not a big fan of glitter polishes just because removing them on your nails is nightmare. I’ve purchased these two NYX polishes for quite a while now and I don’t know why I just let it sit in my drawer and never get around to trying it. I should’ve given my nails a festive make over with this polish. Since summer is fast approaching here in Dubai, I would take advantage of the remaining winter days to wear this color.

I used Sally Hansen as my base coat. It is important to use a base coat before applying the actual nail polish because it will help protect your nail keratin. Then I added one coat of NYX Perfect Gray. I just want a thin application of this as I am planning to put a thick layer of glittered nail polish. Perfect Gray goes on opaque in three coats; make sure to remember that if you plan on wearing it alone.

I then layered two heavy coats of Frizzy spots.  It is a black jelly based polish with big and small silver hexagonal glitters.  I tried wearing it alone but it looks too sheer and you will require 4-5 coats to achieve full opacity. Lastly, I applied the same Sally Hansen as my top coat.

I like this brand so much. They provide a massive range of colors to choose from.  The formula is not a stand out but it goes beyond its price. These are no longer available in their website.  You can get if from cherry culture or eBay for only $2 each.  If you’re in Dubai, you can get it from Lifestyle store in Reef mall for 16 AED or you can check my online shop. :)
Have you tried any of their nail polishes? What nail polish color do you think every girl should own?

Bisou bisou,

  1. I think NYX nailpolishes are amazing given their prices. Work better than nailpolishes that cost more than them.
Perfect grey looks lovely, would surely get it :D

  2. You should try Pistachio, too. One of my favorites in their range. Perfect for spring time.

Bath and Body Works Haul - DSF Sale

Hey Girlies! This post is a continuation of my DSF Sale haul but this time around I'm going to show all the stuff that I got from Bath and Body Works.  They have wowed the public with plethora of items on amazing sale and people like me just can't resist whenever we see the red sign (50% to 70% off sale). As usual, I ended up spending more that what I should have. Well,  this crazy sale only comes once in a year so I'd better stock up so I don't have to buy it in a full price. Although they always have some good deals like BUY 3 take 1 or BUY 2 take 1 in some of their not so popular scents I can guarantee you that this DSF sale is absolutely fantastic and 100x better than their regular sales. :) Let these photos speak for itself, and tell me if you can hold off spending money in any of these items. I hope you enjoyed this post. Personally, I love watching haul videos and blog posts. You're kinda gettin...

January Favorites

This is actually my first time to do a beauty related post and my topic would be my monthly favorites.   Just like all beauty bloggers do, I would tell you the products that I’ve been using the most for the past month and I will try to do a quick review on each of them.   Let’s get started. EOS Sweet Mint Lip Balm I’ve been using this non stop since I received it in the mail. I searched for this lip balm in almost every beauty store I know in Dubai but can’t really find it. So when I took my yearly Christmas vacation in the Philippines , I ordered 4 pieces in different flavors from one of the reputable online sellers there. It was love at first application. I love the way it glides in my lips, nice and smooth. It moisturizes and hydrates my lips and has a soothing effect. Packaging is super cute and really inexpensive. I paid approximately 42 AED for 4 pieces.               ...

Victoria's Secret's DSF Sale Haul

I know this post has long been overdue.   DSF ended last Feb 05 and I’ve picked up all these items  on the last week of January.   If you are wondering what DSF is, it stands for Dubai Shopping Festival. It is an annual month long shopping, cultural, and entertainment event which started back in 1996 and aimed to promote Dubai tourism.   This is the ideal time of year to grab your favorite high street brands at rock bottom prices.   Every malls and shops are offering the greatest discount you can ever imagine.   I didn’t get much, though.    I just came back from a vacation and my bank account has just been emptied. J So let me show you few things that I bought from Victoria’s Secret.   Items are at   25%,   50% and   75% off.    There you have it! I really had a wonderful time hopping from one VS store to another.  It was such a great bargain, you can't just pa...
